I had only 2 months left to complete a 1 year, on-line course for Life Care Planning. To my great disappointment, I knew that I hadn’t learned what was necessary for preparing Life Care Plans. At Kelly Lance’s course, I was surrounded by nurses. Yes, nurses! Kelly was able to start with the basics and expand on them each day of the course.
The best part of the course included preparing and critiquing Life Care Plans, learning the components of the Life Care Plan, being able to write a work product for future reference, and networking with all of the students. I feel that the course I took from Kelly Lance was invaluable in my pursuit as a CNLCP. It has enhanced my knowledge and ability to comprehend what attorneys or other companies will need from me in all areas of my nursing profession. Most of all, her course has allowed me to know of my worth as a nurse. Any nurse wanting to purse a certification in Life Care Planning, must take this course!
I took Kelynco's nurse life care planning course in January 2007 after completing Kaplan's program because I didn't feel that their online course gave me the tools I needed to write a credible life care plan. I learn best when I have an opportunity to interact with instructors and peers and Kelynco's course gave me that opportunity.
We learned from professionals and educators throughout the course, who work directly with families and victims of catastrophic injuries. They included nurse life care planners, lawyers, a neurologist, prosthetist, and a variety of other rehab specialists.
The information we received was current, informative and will be valuable when I write my own life care plans. In addition, Kelynco provided us the tools we needed to write life plans in class. As nurses, we learned from each other's nursing experiences, established friendships, networking opportunities and resources.
Finally, Kelynco's Continuing Education courses will provide us with updated information that is so essential in writing credible life care plans.
As a Case Manager for over 10 years, I was searching to enhance my nursing career. In 2002, I attended the seven-day Nurse Life Care Planning course by Kelly Lance/Kelynco. With much joy and enthusiasm, I knew the search was over on the first day of the course. Kelynco’s course presented the concept of continuing a nursing career in a professional practice as a Nurse Life Care Planner. The course is designed to apply the nursing process and critical thinking within a legal setting. Since becoming a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner in 2002, I have definitely enhanced my nursing career and have become independently employed with much success. I’m honored to be involved in such a caring profession of Nurse Life Care Planners. Many have offered guidance and resources throughout these years. Kelly, just to let you know - the results came in - I passed the certification test. Thank-you for a great program. I also wanted to let you know that in addition to the spectacular program content. I loved your rah, rah, nursing is great cheerleading. Sometimes you get bogged down in stuff and you forget all the why nurses are the best. I liked getting reinvigorated and enthused all over again about being a nurse.
